In my final digital storytelling project, I set out to rebrand Le Nouveau Maquis, my cousin and aunt's beloved restaurant in Atlanta. I aimed to infuse a contemporary essence into this cherished family establishment, particularly in Atlanta's dynamic culinary scene, attracting a younger clientele while retaining its original warmth and charm.
I delved into redesigning the restaurant's image, crafting a sleek, elegant new logo while remaining faithful to its original color palette. I invested time in recreating the entire menu from scratch, underlining my dedication to this endeavor. Leveraging my burgeoning proficiency in Illustrator, I meticulously designed the website, menu, and branding elements in less than three days.
Taking a creative approach, I merged minimalistic design with French-inspired elements, infusing phrases familiar to Francophone Africans across the website. This fusion not only modernized the restaurant's appeal but also paid homage to its cultural heritage, aiming to captivate a wider audience while upholding its rich traditions.
